Schools choose from the roster

Participating schools do not invent replacement mascots for this program. They select an official Misfit Roster character and build a performance interpretation around that character. The mascot remains the branded character; the school contributes choreography, energy, apparel styling, and community participation.

Performance is the competition

Dance teams, cheer teams, student performers, and mascot wearers can produce videos that demonstrate how well they embody the selected character. The winning school is not simply choosing a logo. It is proving that it can bring the character to life in a way the public wants to watch and share.

The school year becomes the live-event window

For a school deployment, the active window can run from the beginning of the school year through the end of the school year. That creates room for recurring drops tied to games, car washes, rallies, performances, fundraisers, announcements, and sponsor-supported moments rather than treating the fundraiser as a one-day sale.

Sponsors can participate repeatedly

Digital sponsor placements can be attached to multiple drops throughout the year. A local business is not limited to a single printed banner. The school can create recurring sponsored visibility around different announcements and moments, subject to the deployment structure and approvals.

Rivalry Commerce has a defined role

Rivalry Commerce is not the parent company of The Misfit Roster. It is the independent commerce layer deployed for the experience. The Misfit Roster remains its own brand, characters, apparel, content, and community. Rivalry Commerce supports the governed live commerce deployment around approved drops and participation windows.

The outcome is participation with continuity

The model connects character, performance, apparel, sponsor visibility, and recurring communication into one continuous experience. The value is not only the transaction. It is the repeated reason for students, families, schools, and supporters to return throughout the season.
